Africa-Press – Angola. Bishop Filomena Teta of the Anglican Church in Angola advocated on Monday (20), in Luanda, for the promotion of more inclusive and sustainable public policies to build a farier, supportive, and peaceful Angola.

The religious leader spoke regarding the State of the Nation Address, a message presented by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, at the solemn opening ceremony of the Parliamentary Year, held on the 15th of the current month.

Filomena Teta considered the provision of quality public services essential, especially in the health, education, and housing sectors, among others.

In this regard, she called for the appreciation of health and education professionals, as well as the creation of programs that promote social cohesion and the protection of the most vulnerable groups.

She encouraged public officials to act ethically, with a spirit of service, and with patriotic commitment.

In this regard, she urged citizens to participate in the moral and spiritual renewal of the country, reminding them that the future depends on collective responsibility and the responsibility of each individual.

Filomena Teta called for greater support for family farming, national industry, and entrepreneurial initiatives, mainly those that prioritize youth and women, as a path to shared and lasting prosperity.

She spoke of the importance of consolidating democracy and strengthening public institutions.

The religious official highlighted corruption, fear, and exclusion as obstacles to progress that must be combated in daily life.
