The governor of the National Bank of Angola (BNA), José de Lima Massano, said this Friday (22), in Luena, Moxico province, that Notice 10/20 allowed the mobilization of resources, which contributed to the growth of the national economy, through credits granted to entrepreneurs.

José Massano, speaking at a meeting he had with the business class in Moxico and with the direction of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the BNA auditorium in Moxico, urged that the authorities want bank credits that create jobs and help, on the other hand, the develop the national economy.

During the meeting, the governor of the National Bank of Angola assured that the institution he directs maintains the mission of controlling inflation in the market, so that there is healthy economic growth.

“We have had a very interesting evolution, which has been allowing the recovery of the course of the fall in inflation that had started with the program of macro-structural reforms of the economy”.

This path, according to the official, had been interrupted in 2020, due to the impact of the force of Covid-19, which had negative effects, but with the measures adopted, in 2022, the country continues with the process of controlling inflation. The country’s dependence on external factors is at the base of these constraints, according to José Massano. He also underlined that the fact of having a stable foreign exchange market has helped in the balance.
