Africa-Press – Angola. The National Bank of Angola (BNA) warned, this Friday, that the company Secarip-Prestação de Serviços is not licensed for basic financial services in Angola.
Holder of Tax Identification Number (NIF) 5000250660, in active status, the said company is located in the municipality of Cacuaco, in Luanda, on the right street of Salinas, next to the Pharmacy “Emílio Farma”, according to the publication of the BNA.
It provides basic financial services, namely opening bank accounts, safes and provision of payment instruments (credit and debit cards), provision of international fiduciary bank accounts to guarantee the execution of contracts.
Said company also provides for custodial bank accounts and for securities portfolios of financial instruments and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions of companies, among other services.
In this sense, the BNA appeals to banking financial institutions and the general public to refrain from establishing any business relationship with it, as well as promoters to refrain from carrying out acts that could be qualified as a very serious, foreseen and punishable misdemeanor. under the terms of paragraph a) of article 387 of Law no. 14/21, of 19 May – Law on the General Regime of Financial Institutions.
The Central Bank also mentions that the use of non-qualified entities could result in serious damage for customers, since these entities are not subject to information duties and prudential limits that safeguard the interests of the consumer and the stability of the financial system. .
The BNA appeals to the general public, before initiating a contractual relationship, to verify that the entity in question is qualified to carry out the type of financial operation involved, accessing the list of authorized institutions on the website www.bna.ao.
