Africa-Press – Angola. Boudrick Ungenda “Bobó”, 35, considers the clash for the 28th round of the Girabola against Petro de Luanda to be a difficult one. The captain of 1.o de Agosto sees Saturday’s match, at 4:00 pm, at the 11 de Novembro Stadium, as a final. The only objective is victory. The experienced centre-back is used to playing in the biggest challenge in national football and aims to obtain a different result to the draw achieved in the first round of the Championship.
“The matches against Petro are always difficult. We see them as a final and finals must be won. We will go onto the pitch with the objective of winning and we are training for that. In the first round it didn’t work out, we conceded the goal in the last minute”, he stressed.
The player revealed how he intends to approach the classic: “This time, we will do it differently. We want to score early and avoid conceding goals. At the end of the match, the team should be satisfied with the work done on the pitch”.Bobó is the leader of the red-and-black defense and in recent matches he has been paired with Venâncio. In the match played on Sunday at the Estádio França Ndalu against FC Bravos do Maquis, the soldiers conceded a goal.
The captain is not limited to defensive responsibilities, as he participates in offensive plays and contributes with goals. This season, he has scored three goals, against Isaac de Benguela (10th round), Desportivo da Lunda-Sul (19th) and FC Bravos do Maquis (27th round).
Bobó has scored three fewer goals than forward Aguinaldo, the team’s top scorer. The team coached by Filipe Nzanza is preparing for the match at the former RI/20 stadium, with high levels of motivation.
