Africa-Press – Angola. The director of the company Food Life, Isaac Cangundo, defended the need for the local business community to take greater advantage of the Government’s programs, to expand the country’s productive base and allow the export of its products, within the scope of the operationalization of the Trade Zone Free Continental Africa (AfCFTA).

Regarding Angola’s participation in the 2nd Edition of the African Business Fair, SADA SARL, in Algeria, he underlined that companies should start looking at the fact that Angola is a signatory to the agreement and overcome trade barriers.

Isaac Cangundo says that Angolan businessmen need to open themselves up to the African market.

“(…) being in Algeria was a good experience, because we had contacts with companies from other African countries that operate in the same sector, I could see the capacity of these companies and what I realized is that we are not very far away”, he stressed.

The businessman assured that the company wants to work to leverage Angolan products, taking the flag of rice and beans, with the seal Made in Angola, to other countries on the continent.

The businessman explains that the company’s current production capacity is 5,500 tonnes a year of rice and 5,000 tonnes of beans, with an investment of USD 2,500 million.

He detailed that Food Life is dedicated to the production and distribution of food, and the products are selected automatically by high-tech machines and without impurities.

The company has a modern factory located in the Zona Verde in Luanda, which has the most modern equipment for selection.

The company operates through the Uwayele brand, which symbolizes good value for money in the food sector in Angola.

With an infrastructure, with international standards, Foodlife’s products are 100% national and comply with the quality levels recommended by the FAO and local health authorities.
