Africa-Press – Angola. The women’s junior handball national team overcame Kenya on Sunday (7) by 41-26, in a round 2 match, counting for group B of the African Championship taking place in Oran, Algeria.

With this result, Angola “atoned” for Saturday’s opening defeat to Guinea-Conakry, 21-26, after arriving late at the competition stage, with no time for the necessary physical recovery.

On Sunday’s match, played in Pavilion Two of the Hamou Boutlélis Sports Palace, the national team, led by coach José Terça “Chuma,” displayed class and had no difficulty imposing its game.

In addition to Angola and Kenya, Group B also includes Guinea-Conakry, Reunion Island, Mali, and Algeria.

Group A consists of Egypt, Tunisia, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burkina Faso, and Zambia.

On Monday (08), the national team faces Mali at 4 p.m. in the same venue. The Angolan junior team won its last trophy back in 2023, in Tunisia.
