Africa-Press – Angola. The Dream Team was crowned champion of the Quizanga Community Championship on Sunday, defeating Quizanga de Aço 2-1 on penalties in the final played at the Ossos field in the municipality of Quéssua.
The match was evenly matched, with both teams demonstrating talent, discipline, and total commitment on the field.
The tie in regulation time took the match to the eleven-meter mark, where the Dream Team was more effective, securing the trophy.
In the final standings, Quizanga de Aço finished second, Os Verdinhos third, and Desportivo da Quizanga fourth.
As for the prizes, the champions received medals, certificates, the trophy, and 800,000 kwanzas. The runner-up received 400,000 kwanzas, while third place received 200,000 kwanzas.
The final was attended by the Provincial Governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, who announced his intention to rehabilitate and equip the province’s sports fields, with a view to encouraging the practice of sports in the communities.
