Africa-Press – Angola. The candidate for leadership of the youth arm of the National Liberation Front of Angola (JFNLA), Carlos Cassoma, presented Saturday, in the municipality of Viana, in Luanda, his lines of work for a period of five years.
The act marked the opening of the presentation of candidacies, which will take place over five days, with a view to the election of the secretary general of the youth organization to take place during the 2nd Ordinary Youth Congress of the National Liberation Front of Angola (JFNLA) scheduled for 9th to 11th of August.
The electoral campaign will run from the 12th of July to the 5th of August.
Carlos Cassoma elected as priorities the revitalization and implementation of the JFNLA throughout the national space, ensuring and reframing all its members and providing the bodies with political, social and economic capacities that allow their full planning in the debate on the future of the Angolan youth.
The elaboration of specific programs for the better framing of rural youth is one of the politician’s priorities.
The FNLA was founded in 1954 under the name of União das Populações do Norte de Angola (UPNA), assuming in 1958 the name of União das Populações de Angola (UPA) and had Holdem Roberto as its first president.
