Africa-Press – Angola. The Catoca Mining Society, on Friday in Luanda received a recommendation for certification under the ISO 9001:2015 standard, after successfully completing the audit process.
The recommendation was made by Bureau Veritas Certification based in Portugal, after an assessment of the company’s internal processes, ensuring compliance with international quality management requirements, according to a note on Saturday.
According to the document, the recognition reflects Catoca’s commitment to operational efficiency, continuous improvement and satisfaction of its customers and partners.
It highlights that, throughout the audits, several aspects of the company’s management were analyzed, including strategic planning, process control, risk management and leadership commitment.
Therefore, with the certification, the company strengthens its position in the mining sector, in a demonstration of transparency and excellence in its performance.
Quoted in a statement, Catoca CEO Benedito Paulo Manuel, said that the recommendation represents an important milestone for the company and aims to consolidate its pursuit of international quality standards, reinforcing its responsibility with good management practices.
He said that the official certificate will be granted after the conclusion of the administrative procedures, ensuring that the company fully meets the requirements established by the aforementioned standard.
