Africa-Press – Angola. The municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda, will train, from 1 August, 4,180 members to the polling stations, informed yesterday the interim president of the Municipal Electoral Commission of Cazenga.

Among the members to be trained, highlighted Santana da Cunha, on the sidelines of a training session for the trainers of the aforementioned municipality, there are presidents of polling stations, secretaries and tellers.

“From Monday, August 1st, training will begin for all polling station stakeholders, such as president, secretary and tellers, within a horizon of four thousand 180 polling station members, destined to to the municipality of Cazenga”, he added.

According to Santana da Cunha, the training of 186 municipal trainers began on the 25th of July, for members of the polling stations, whose mission from the 1st of August, on Monday, will be to train all those involved in the polling stations.

The interim president of the Municipal Electoral Commission of Cazenga, assured that the trainees, among other matters, are being trained on notions related to counting votes, filling in the minutes, sending the summary minutes, duties and rights of electoral agents.

Another aspect revealed by the interim president of the Municipal Electoral Commission of Cazenga has to do with the fact that his municipality has 265 polling stations.

Santana da Cunha also revealed that a team from the Municipal Electoral Commission is identifying all polling stations, with the placement of signs in schools, colleges, pavilions and squares.

The municipality of Cazenga, according to the interim president, has registered more than 690 thousand voters.
