CEFOMAC launches first performing arts professionals

Africa-Press – Angola. Seventeen students, out of the 45 initially enrolled, completed the first professional dance, theater and music course at the Center for Musical Training and Performing Arts (CEFOMAC) in Caxito, Bengo province.

Among the finalists are seven professionals from the theater course, six from music and four from dance, who received diplomas with the academic level of the 1st cycle of secondary education.

For three years they learned subjects related to the arts such as acrobatics, composition techniques, modern dance, choreography, ensemble practice (orchestra), music theory and solfeggio, musical production and workshop and topics on Angolan culture.

In a message, the finalists congratulated themselves on the training and decided to put the acquired knowledge into practice.

Bengo’s provincial vice-governor for the Political, Social and Economic sector, José Bartolomeu Pedro, informed that the government intends to create a CEFOMAC branch in Caxito and Panguila to facilitate students from these districts.

CEFOMAC’s director, Sizainga Raul Francisco, appealed to the finalists to continue training in order to become true artists.

The Center for Musical Training and Performing Arts (CEFOMAC) in Caxito is a place for artistic and cultural education that aims to contribute to the democratization of culture in the region.
