Africa-Press – Angola. The Chief of the General Staff (CEMG) of the FAA, aviation general Altino dos Santos, appealed to the need for the corporation to remain firm in preserving national stability and support the diplomatic efforts of the Angolan Executive in the search for peace and security in the African sub-region, the continent and the world.
Altino dos Santos, who was speaking during a tribute to retired general officers and admirals, alluded to the scenario that currently shapes the field of international geopolitics and underlined the importance of everyone being aware of this reality.
“We must all be attentive, in the perspective that, as actors of our own history, we remain firm in the preservation of national stability and support the diplomatic efforts of the Angolan Executive in the search for peace and security”, he said.
In his speech, Altino dos Santos underlined the fact that negotiation and the peaceful resolution of disputes are viable platforms to avoid war scenarios, not only in the sub-region, but also in the African continent and in the world.
The FAA Chief of General Staff guided this Friday, on the former RI-20, the tribute ceremony for around 70 general officers and admirals who graduated from retirement, in an act centered, among others, on the delivery of certificates of merit and medals to officers, in recognition of their contribution in the Armed Forces and in the Homeland, in general.
