Africa-Press – Angola. The Chancellor of Austria, Karl Nehammer, left the Angolan capital (Luanda) this Tuesday, where he met with the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to address issues related to cooperation between the two countries.
At the 4 de Fevereiro International Airport, the Chancellor received farewell greetings from members of the Angolan Executive.
Karl Nehammer’s visit was part of the reinforcement of bilateral cooperation, having, in a press conference, at the Presidential Palace, after a private meeting with the Angolan Head of State, highlighting the potential for the development of relations with Angola, in the most various domains.
The Chancellor highlighted the importance of placing the continent at the center of attention, for which reason he announced that the Austrian Government is developing a strategy for Africa, paying greater attention.
In the Angolan capital, where he arrived on Monday, the Chancellor participated today in an Angola-Austria business forum and considered the relations between the two countries to be “good”.
The republics of Angola and Austria established political-diplomatic and cooperation relations on 14 October 1981.
