Africa-Press – Angola. The chess player Dickson Donaldo won, this Friday, the 6th edition of the Provincial Championship, held in Luena (Moxico).

The champion for the first time beat Amilton de Sousa, in the 7th and final round of the competition.

The chess player needed 228 minutes to overcome his opponent, adding five points, the same as his biggest pursuer, Laurindo Missengo, dethroned champion, who was in second place.

Despite finishing with the same score, Dickson has an advantage in the first tiebreaker, the game against each other, in which he won in the 4th round.

In the third and fourth positions of the leaderboard were the athletes Alione Muzangueno and José Tchimatamata, respectively. Adilson Coutinho and João Baptista finished in the immediate places.

The race, disputed in Swiss system, had the participation of ten competitors.

The champion will represent the province of Moxico in the National Championship to be held next August, in the country’s capital (Luanda), while the 2nd to 6th place will participate in zone B, taking place in Namibe, in April.
