Africa-Press – Angola. The number of civil servants increased from 403 thousand three hundred and three to 408 thousand two hundred and eighty-eight, in 2023, an increase of around 1.3 percent, reported this Thursday, in Luanda, the minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS), Teresa Rodrigues Dias.
Speaking at the first MAPTSS advisory council, the minister emphasized that the agriculture and forestry, health, higher education, telecommunications, environment and mineral resources, oil and gas sectors registered a greater number of employees.
On the other hand, the minister spoke about the National School of Administration and Public Policies (ENAPP-EP) which carried out various training activities for 23 thousand, three hundred and one civil servants, from the public and private business sector.
The 2023 target was to train 20 thousand professionals, within the framework of the National Development Plan 2023-2027.
In her intervention, Teresa Dias highlighted that, in 2023, 18 thousand, four hundred and five new contributors were registered in Social Security, totaling 238 thousand, six hundred and sixty-three contributors.
Likewise, he continued, 222 thousand and three hundred and one new insured persons were registered in that period, making a total of two million 747 thousand 611 insured people.
It revealed the care of 162 thousand and forty-two pensioners.
The event takes place under the motto “digitization and digital transformation in public administration”.
