The coach of the National Weightlifting Team for people with disabilities, Tony Baltazar, announces, today, at the PD Fitness gym, in Cazenga, the names of the athletes who will be present at the African Championship, to be held from 22 to 30 of this month, in Cairo city, Egypt.
Before, the athletes carry out their penultimate training at the Angolan Paralympic Committee (CPA) concentration center in Sequele, in the municipality of Cacuaco, where they have been since 14 September.
Tony Baltazar takes advantage of the preparation to improve some techniques for lifting weights.
To the Egyptian capital, the National Team continues this Friday, via Addis Ababa, with two athletes, the coach and the head of the delegation, José Manuel (technical director of the CPA).
Tony Baltazar is working with athletes Manuel dos Santos (102 kg), Isaac Joaquim and Adilson Vicente (-54 kg), Pedro Adão and Mauro Luís (49 kg), Cristina Bartolomeu (68 kg) and Olinda Figueiredo (72 kg) .
This will be the first participation of the National Team in the African.
In 2015, the Angolans debuted in the XI edition of the Brazzaville Games, in the capital of the Republic of Congo, where they occupied modest places.
