Africa-Press – Angola. The second general commander of the National Police, chief commissioner Ferreira de Andrade, recommended this Thursday, in the city of Uíge, the reinforcement of actions aimed at public order and tranquility.
Chief Commissioner Ferreira de Andrade spoke at the presentation of the new provincial delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and commander of the National Police in Uíge, Commissioner Ernesto Hayamuniye.
The officer considered it essential that all members of the Ministry of the Interior and the National Police observe, when carrying out their mission, respect for the rights, freedom and fundamental guarantees enshrined in law.
He recalled that fighting crime is not an exclusive task of the National Police, but that it must involve citizens.
In turn, the new provincial delegate of the Ministry of the Interior and commander of the National Police in Uíge, Ernesto Hayamuniye, highlighted the strengthening of criminal and road prevention measures as challenges.
The new delegate replaces Commissioner Monteiro dos Santos, who died last October, victim of a stroke.
Born in the province of Cunene, Ernesto Hayamuniye, aged 60, has held several positions in the National Police, the last being second provincial commander of the corporation in Benguela.
