Africa-Press – Angola. The Electoral Civic Education agents from the municipality of Huambo, trained from the 24th to the 27th of June, are since yesterday mobilizing the communities to adhere to the process aiming at the general elections of the 24th of August.
Artur Capata, Electoral Civic Education agent, said he is available to contribute knowledge to mobilize voters in the communities of Huambo, to teach all people the procedures of how to address a polling station and to fulfill their civic duty. .
The king of Huambo, Artur Moço, said, in turn, that the role of traditional authorities during this process is very important, since the soba is the one who welcomes the young people in service in the first instance, so that everything happens without jolts.
The interim president of the Municipal Electoral Commission of Huambo, António Carlos do Amaral, considered the beginning of the electoral mobilization campaign a starting point for raising the awareness of the voting public, to become aware of the process.
The activity, started yesterday, is for the Electoral Civic Education agents to work on raising awareness, based on what is reflected in the Constitution of the Republic, and must provide civic clarification to citizens about the electoral process.
In the municipality of Huambo, 107 civic electoral agents were trained, who will dedicate themselves to mobilizing people in the different communes, sectors, neighborhoods and villages.
