The information was released yesterday by the Angolan ambassador to Namibia, Jovelina Imperial, during the ceremony to commemorate the 47th anniversary of the country’s Independence, marked on the 11th of this month, stressing that this session will “strengthen bilateral relations in all Domains”.

During the speech, the diplomat said that the Trade and Investment Mission to Luanda, held from 14 to 21 February 2022, made it possible to identify existing business opportunities in Angola and which culminated in the signing of an Agreement between the Chambers of Commerce of the two countries.

In the festivities of the 47th anniversary of Independence, the Angolan community recognized the act of courage of the compatriot people in the fight for freedom, in a message read, in Windhoek, by António Vemba.

According to the community representative, Angolans stood out for their spirit of resistance during the years of colonization, emphasizing unity and hope over decades to overcome current and future obstacles.

In a statement, the Embassy said that the ceremony, attended by Namibian government entities, was also marked by some members of the diplomatic corps, and by the Angolan community.

During the event, those present had the opportunity to taste some of the Angolan cuisine, prepared by the community, and also to get to know the tourist potential and other areas of great investment in the country.

The date was also marked with the deposition by ambassador Jovelina Imperial of a wreath on the bust of the first President and Founder of the Nation, António Agostinho Neto.
