Africa-Press – Angola. Angola recorded, in the last 24 hours, 13 new infections by Covid-19, but, for the third consecutive day, no deaths were recorded. Still Sunday, the recovery of 33 people previously infected was recorded.

According to data presented on Sunday (6th) by the National Directorate of Public Health (DNSP), of the 13 positive cases, seven are residents in Luanda, three in BiƩ, two in Zaire and one in Cuando Cubano province.

Among those infected, nine are male and four are female, aged between 3 and 72 years.
The bulletin states that of the 33 recovered patients, 13 are residents of Namibe, 12 in Luanda, while the provinces of Moxico and Zaire each recorded the recovery of four people. The recovered are aged between 1 month and 80 years.

In the last 24 hours, 938 samples were processed by RT-PCR exams, with a daily positivity rate of 1.4 percent, bringing to a total of 1,391,201 samples taken since the beginning of the pandemic, with a rate of 7.1 percent positivity.

With these data, the epidemiological picture of the pandemic in the country rose to a cumulative of 98,364 positive cases, of which 95,896 people recovered, 1,896 fatalities and 572 active.
Of the total number of active cases, the document says, none are in a critical condition, two are severe, five are moderate, 18 are mild and 547 are asymptomatic.

25 patients are being hospitalized in the country’s health units, 16 people are being followed in institutional quarantine and 547 contacts are under epidemiological surveillance.
