Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan insurance industry has the first provider dedicated to the agribusiness sector, called Viva Seguros.

The company, which enters the market with an innovative portfolio, aimed only at agribusiness and the promotion of family and large-scale agriculture, will provide farmers with bank credit guarantees.

According to the press release that, the company comes up with an insurance proposal that will give greater comfort to commercial banks and the granting of credit to the productive sector, by reducing risk.

According to the chairman of the concessionaire’s executive committee, Damien Veerapatren, Viva Seguros’ vision is to support the banking system, absorbing a significant part of the credit risk to the productive sector, which will allow banking institutions to be “more relaxed” in providing of the resources.

According to Damien Veerapatren, the productive sector of agribusiness will operate micro insurance aimed at this segment.

The manager also said that he does not rule out financial literacy aimed at producers who are dedicated to small and large-scale agriculture, but who need money and are blocked due to the risks of the business.

The institution joins the 23 insurance operators operating in the national market.
