Africa-Press – Angola. The Criminal Investigation Services (SIC) in Malanje presented, on Tuesday, two members of the group “Pelas Cabeças”, of seven individuals, who allegedly carried out criminal activities in Luanda and Malanje.
The spokesman for SIC in Malanje, chief inspector Eusébio Santos, said he was concerned about the high number of criminal acts in recent days. “The arrest was made possible with the coordinated work of the police forces,” he clarified.
The detainees confessed to the acts, which included a homicide, which killed a member of the National Police, as well as qualified thefts of goods. “Among the values stolen by these criminals are 20 thousand US dollars, 3 thousand rand, 150 euros and 500 thousand kwanzas”, he said.
In Luanda, he explained, the group carried out several criminal activities, with a greater incidence of qualified robberies, using firearms, to subtract computer resources in various stores in Zé Pirão and Mutamba.
Following the investigation work, three other citizens were also arrested in Luanda, one of whom was a member of the Angolan Armed Forces, for being the supplier of firearms used by criminals in various actions. “This one charged 250,000 kwanzas for each pistol, which included an extra box of ammunition at the price of 50,000 kz”.
The SIC spokesperson also assured that the investigation work is continuing to investigate other crimes in which the detainees are involved.
One of the victims of the detainees, who was at the presentation, said that she was robbed at home, in the Cangambo Ocidental neighbourhood, where they took three cell phones, a gold thread, two pairs of gold earrings, shoes and wigs. “May they have an exemplary sentence.”
