Africa-Press – Angola. The coordinator of the Office of Deputies of the Electoral Circle of Huambo, Armando Capunda, recommended, this Tuesday, to the staff of the Interior Delegation to adopt new action tactics, to frustrate the evil actions of the marginalized.

The parliamentarian, who spoke on behalf of the group of deputies from the local constituency, at the end of the visit to the Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) in the province of Huambo, said that the criminals, with each passing day, study new techniques to circumvent defense and security forces, creating panic among the population.

Therefore, he said it is necessary for the bodies of the Ministry of the Interior to increasingly improve the adversarial mode.

He considered it to be a very delicate sector, with difficult tasks for the well-being of the population, which needs to be continually encouraged by all social fringes, to maintain public order and tranquility.

Armando Capunda recognized that the province of Huambo has stood out, in a positive way, in public security issues, despite new tactics adopted by criminals, which demonstrates that the National Police personnel have been up to the task in repressing evil actions.

The deputy of the MPLA Parliamentary Bench, Armando Capunda, asked the population for greater collaboration and contribution in denouncing the actions of criminals, given the need to maintain order and tranquility in the communities.

In turn, the director of the MININT Institutional Communication and Press office in the province of Huambo, Martinho Kavita Satito, said that population growth in peripheral neighborhoods and surrounding areas will require redoubled monitoring and the presence of more National Police personnel.

Without specifying data on the crime rate in the 11 municipalities that make up this region, he said that the crime situation in the province is stable, with a daily average of 10 to 11 crimes of different nature.

He added that municipalities record, on average, one infraction/day.

He lamented the fact that many citizens still do not have a culture of reporting, mainly about the vandalization of public property and other actions by criminals, which sometimes affects the work of clarifying various crimes by the National Police.

The Huambo Electoral Circle has three deputies from the MPLA and two from UNITA, elected in the general elections on August 24, 2022.

Located in the Central Highlands of Angola, with an area of 35,771 square kilometers, more than two million, 700 thousand inhabitants live in this province, spread across the municipalities of Bailundo, Caála, Cachiungo, Chicala-Cholohanga, Chinjenje, Ecunha, Huambo, Londuimbali, Longonjo, Mungo and Ucuma.
