Africa-Press – Angola. The Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities, Domingos Vieira Lopes, has been in Tehran, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, since last weekend for a working visit of a few days in that country. The visit is part of the program to strengthen cooperation between Angola and Iran, with a greater focus on the economic partnership.
According to a note sent Online, Angola also proposes the creation of a Committee for Political Consultations, as well as the opening of Diplomatic Missions in both countries.
On Monday morning, the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Angolan Communities delivered a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, to his counterpart from the aforementioned West Asian country.
Iran is a middle and regional power and exerts a major influence on international energy security and the global economy through its large fossil fuel reserves, which include the world’s largest natural gas supply and the fourth largest proven oil reserves.
