Africa-Press – Angola. The National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA) is carrying out, today, in the nine municipalities that make up the province of Luanda, a door-to-door “vote hunt” campaign with the electorate, within the framework of the General Elections of 24 next August.

Emanuel Bianco, the party’s deputy secretary for Communication and Marketing, informed that the program starts at 8:00 am, and that all secretariats at the municipal level will be engaged in door-to-door mobilization. , for the presentation of the respective electoral proposals and to make known the position in the ballot paper.

The second political force of the Angolan Parliament has a total of 1,40 accredited delegates in Cazenga, out of 2,90 defined to ensure work in polling stations in that municipality.

In Luanda province, the same party will have 17,000 delegates. It should be remembered that UNITA’s electoral manifesto envisages several actions, including the fight against poverty and hunger, access to housing and employment, social inclusion for former combatants and ex. activists, among others.
