Africa-Press – Angola. A total of 80 exhibitors, including agricultural producers, restaurant owners, retail, and service sectors, are participating in the first Edition of the Dundo Municipal Diversity Fair, in the north-eastern province of Lunda-Norte, which kicked off on Thursday (25).
Inaugurated by Domingos Dala, Lunda-Norte Vice-Governor for Technical Services and Infrastructure, the four-day event, promoted by the Dundo Municipal Administration, also features stalls, artists, and an exhibition of some public services.
According to Sobral Calfel, Director of the Municipal Office of Integrated Economic Development, in addition to Dundo, the municipalities of LoĢvua, Chitato, Mussungue, and Luena (Moxico) are also attending the event.
He said the fair aims to create opportunities for establishing a marketing network, promoting and enhancing the value of local products, and showcasing the municipality’s agricultural potential.
He added that the event features a local development forum, public hearings, a music and cultural festival, among other attractions.
Dundo, the capital of the province of Lunda Norte, was recently elevated to the range of municipality under the new political-administrative division.
