José Dungo, vice-president of the Angolan Chess Federation, considered as important the training action being carried out by the governing body of the sport in the country, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, and institutional support from the Ministry of Youth and Sports , which takes place at the Sports Gallery, in Luanda.
The federative official was speaking during the opening ceremony of the said training event. “The training of chess trainers and monitors comes in compliance with an express directive from His Excellency the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, for the implementation of Chess in Schools and introduction in the curriculum plan in the short term”, said José Dungo.
The vice-president highlighted some benefits that can be produced with his practice. Stimulates logical-deductive reasoning, increases concentration and memory, develops patience in a world so affected by technology and where everything happens so quickly.
