The Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, inaugurated, this Wednesday, the second branch of Banco Desenvolvimento de Angola (BDA), whose mission is to facilitate the process of receiving, analyzing and responding to the requests for financing submitted to the bank.

The new facility will be overseen by the regional office in Luanda, offering enhanced services and support, including customized solutions to meet clients’ needs.

Speaking to the press, Mário Caetano João highlighted that the BDA is being an extremely fundamental bank for the development of Angola.

For the minister, the BDA has been demonstrating that it has the capacity to accompany the development of entrepreneurs and had to adjust itself to finance small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, as well as those who had already spent some of their financial resources, citing as an example the measures of economic relief.

The minister said that the BDA, as part of the country’s development process, had begun a process of regionalization in some provinces, with a view to monitoring credit activities.

“The BDA still has many challenges, because it is supporting many businessmen, it has lowered the level with small and medium businessmen”, he said.

According to the minister, with the approval of new financial products such as the grain, fishing and livestock production plan, there will be greater dynamics among businessmen.

In turn, the President of the Executive Committee, Patrícia Vaz D’ Almeida, highlighted the nature of commitment involved in opening the branch in the capital.

The manager also underlined the BDA’s commitment to meet the needs of entrepreneurs, allowing access to financing for projects that, as expected, should boost economic growth, consequently translating into greater offers in terms of jobs. work.

“The BDA will provide the necessary assistance to entrepreneurs and companies seeking bank financing through this agency”, he concluded.

The BDA also has regional branches in Cabinda, Uíge, Huambo, Huíla, Lunda Sul and Benguela.

The inauguration act was attended by the President of the BDA Board of Directors, Maria Bernardo do Carmo, and other members of the BNA Board of Directors.
