Africa-Press – Angola. Eleven professionals from different media outlets in the province of Moxico compete in various categories of the 13th edition of the Provincial Journalism Prize, promoted by the local government, Tuesday in the city of Luena.
These are professionals from press, Edições Novembro, Televisão Pública de Angola and Rádio Moxico from the RNA group, who compete in different journalistic genres.
According to the head of Department of the Social Communication Office of the Provincial Government of Moxico, Alione Muzangueno, at the end of the inscriptions, 29 journalistic pieces were submitted, 12 more compared to the previous edition, to the jury.
According to the official, the winner of the award for that edition, whose ceremony is scheduled for September 15, the date of the founding of the province, will benefit from an amount of one million Kwanzas and the best works in each category will receive 400 thousand.
The journalist of the Public Television of Angola (TPA), Arlete Simão, was the winner of the last edition, with a piece that portrayed the desecration of tombs in one of the cemeteries in the city of Luena.
