Africa-Press – Angola. The business class defended Tuesday, in Luanda, a greater commitment to education, support for family farming, reinforcement of electricity and improvement of infrastructure in the rural area to achieve the goals established in the Long Term Strategy (ELP – Angola 2050).
In a meeting for consultation and public consultation with entrepreneurs on the referred strategy, the request for greater attention to the national business community was clear.
According to the president of the Association of Agricultural Mechanization Brigades (ABRIMECA) and also President of the Board of Directors of the company Electro-Cavemba, the State needs to make a projection of the hectares to be prepared for cultivation by 2050.
He also advises the expansion of Banco de Desenvolvimento Angola (BDA) actions at provincial level to facilitate credit to local farmers.
The director of Fazenda Santa Teresa, Paulo Baptista, suggests investing in technological means to support agricultural production, citing tractors, agricultural inputs, drones, as well as robots.
This measure, he adds, aims to provide an immediate response to the future challenges of the market, given the increase in demand for food due to population growth in the country, forecast for 68 million inhabitants, according to the ELP – Angola 2050.
The president of the Association of Authorized Agents of the National Electricity Distribution Company (ENDE), Luquela Miguel Paulo, points out the subdivision of energy service providers into zones to facilitate control and readiness to respond to energy distribution problems.
The representative of Fazenda Filomena, Ana Maria Domingos, warned the Executive to be concerned with a strategy to benefit industries that have high costs in the production of goods.
In terms of education, the unique external auditor, José Luís Faria Magro, understands that Angola needs staff and to meet this need, a strong commitment to basic education is required, “because it is not possible to get to university without going there first. ”.
He adds the importance of investing in the quality of teachers and suggests the creation of university centers, taking advantage of the potential of each region, without necessarily placing several universities in each province.
The ELP – Angola 2050 is the strategic document of the entire National Planning System and its main objectives are the consolidation of peace, the achievement of national reconciliation and the strengthening of a sovereign and independent State.
