Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, received in audience, this Thursday, 10, the President of the Pan-African Organization of Women (OPM), Eunice Lipinge, with whom she discussed, among other matters, the ongoing struggle for female participation in decision-making in the most varied domains, one of the institution’s priorities.

According to a press release sent Online, during the hearing Eunice Lipinge was accompanied by the former Secretary General of the Organization of Angolan Women (OMA), Luzia Inglês.

Together, the entities addressed issues such as the violation of human rights and ways to establish permanent and cooperative relationships between the Pan-African Organization of Women and counterparts around the world.

The Pan-African Organization of Women integrates 55 countries on the continent, has worked with the African Union, thus influencing the implementation of the status of women on the continent and the Maputo Protocol, which deals with female empowerment.

Among other actions, the OPM proposes to support African women victims of political conflicts, to ensure the defense and protection of girls and victims of terrorism and armed conflicts.
