Africa-Press – Angola. The Executive leaving the elections of 24 August, recently appointed by the President of the Republic, was sworn in yesterday, at the Presidential Palace of Cidade Alta, in Luanda.
In the new Executive, emphasis is given to the breakdown of the Environment by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The new Ministry will be headed by the former governor of Luanda, Ana Paula Chantre Luna de Carvalho, who is replaced by the former minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, Manuel Homem.
Regarding the members of the presidential office, Edeltrudes Maurício Fernandes Gaspar da Costa remains in the position of director of the Office of the President of the Republic, but now with the status of minister.
Félix de Jesus Cala is the secretary general of the President of the Republic and Avelina Escórcio dos Santos e Santos is deputy director of his Cabinet.
Edson Ulisses de Carvalho Alves Barreto and Ana Maria da Silva Sousa e Silva were appointed to the positions of director of the Cabinet Office of the President of the Republic and secretary of the Council of Ministers, respectively.
Also for the Office of the President of the Republic, the following entities were appointed:
1. Fernando Bartolomeu Cativa, for the post of Secretary to the President of the Republic for Political and Parliamentary Affairs;
2. Victor Manuel Rita da Fonseca Lima, Secretary of the President of the Republic for Diplomatic Affairs and International Cooperation;
3. Isaac Francisco Maria dos Anjos, Secretary to the President of the Republic for the Productive Sector;
4. Francisco João de Carvalho Neto, Secretary to the President of the Republic for Judicial and Legal Affairs;
5. Victor Hugo Guilherme, Secretary of the President of the Republic for Economic Affairs;
6. Maria de Fátima Republicano de Lima Viegas, Secretary of the President of the Republic for Social Affairs;
7. Luís Fernando, Secretary to the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs; and
8. Pedro Fiete Correia Raimundo, for the position of Secretary of the President of the Republic for State Reform.
Ministers of States
Adão de Almeida and Francisco Furtado were reappointed as Ministers of State and heads of the Civil and Military Household of the President of the Republic, respectively, as well as Manuel Nunes Júnior as Minister of State for Economic Coordination.
Dalva Ringote Allen succeeds Carolina Cerqueira as Minister of State for Social Affairs. Carolina Cerqueira left the Executive to lead Parliament.
