Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) intend to achieve, by 2028, the degree of excellence in the military domain, to meet the new challenges imposed by the new world economic order.

The Army, through the Directorate of Military Instruction and Education, with the achievement of definitive peace in the country, develops several actions for the restructuring and rebuilding of the forces, so that it can, alongside national defense, fulfill other missions, within the scope of conventions international.

Speaking to press, in Cambambe (Cuanza Norte), on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the Tenth Course for Cadets of the Battalion of

Military Intelligence Operative (BIMO), the head of the Direction of Instruction and Military Education of the Army, Lieutenant General, Simão Carlitos Wala, stated that the restructuring of the FAA is a global imperative.

The General Staff of the Army, he clarified, develops a set of actions aimed at the training of the military who, after the recruitment centers, are sent to specialization courses, in order to better understand the different phenomena in the escalation of the war.

According to the lieutenant general, the current reality implies, not only the training of men for national defense, but also the integration of forces in international missions, hence the need to improve technical and scientific knowledge in the military field.

In this path, according to Simão Wala, the training of the troops fulfills a scale translated into different stages, being the training,

in the individual and collective aspect of the military, the epicenter of the objectives to be achieved.

For the general lieutenant, in this way the country will be able to correspond with the defined expectations.

He stated that the FAA Superior Command has the new generation as the continuators of the fight for the country’s defense, with the main focus on complying with the directive of the Commander in Chief, which aims to constitute an army capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with the other international forces, in the handling technique and military manoeuvre.

He informed that the country has a training center for international missions, in the military, civil and police components, which has corresponded with the responsibilities of the FAA in international missions, for this reason, the Angolan State continues to invest in the training of young people.
