Africa-Press – Angola. The Chief of the General Staff of the Angolan Armed Forces, Egídio de Sousa Santos, reiterated this Saturday, in Cabinda, the continuous operational and combat preparation of the troops, while risks and threats prevail at an international level.
Speaking at the closing act of battalion tactical operations with combat shooting and other maneuvers by the troops of the Command of the Cabinda Military Region, Egídio Santos referred that the activity is part of the permanent training system of the military, as long as risks and risks prevail. current threats of the current situation in the world that presents itself, and which it considers increasingly vulnerable, complex and ambiguous.
According to the Chief of the General Staff, the objective of the maneuvers is to prepare the troops to improve combat techniques and tactics since “life is dynamic and combat techniques are variable”.

The constant improvement of this process at all levels in the FAA must continue to be the first priority for increasing the levels of demand and controlling the commitment of the staff to their missions, according to Egídio Santos.
“It is necessary that each individual be duly prepared and trained in their area of responsibility for combat actions, exercises or tactical maneuvers and administrative services, contributing to the achievement of the established objectives”, he urged.
In his view, at this crucial stage in the country’s history, embodied in the new challenges resulting from the fifth general elections in 2022, the FAA, as a moral reserve of the State and the Nation, are called upon to continuously preserve the territorial integrity and the normal functioning of the democratically elected institutions, towards the development of the country.
Therefore, he said that the entire military institution must continue to deserve the trust that society places and that it has always defended with courage, determination and sacrifice.
In this regard, he urges commanders and military leaders to combine efforts for the continuous instruction of the military, especially the younger ones, who must cultivate a new mentality around respect for military laws and regulations and their compliance.
