Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) created two instances to validate club data in the licensing act on the new online platform of the African Football Confederation (CAF) and avoid errors.
These are two independent structures of the Federation that will exercise the role of supervisors, in the first and second instance, with a view to giving the endorsement of all the data that the clubs enter on the platform with the acronym CLOP.
The information was released Friday, in Lubango, by the president of the FAF, Artur Almeida e Silva, during the “special session” of the workshop on the club licensing platform for sport managers.
Artur Almeida e Silva stated that such structures will authenticate the process, hence the need for everyone involved to have as much knowledge about the platform as possible to avoid failures.
“With this, we are going to avoid adulteration of ages, fraud related to some documentation. We are entering a new era and it is necessary that we are all prepared for the challenges of football in modern times”, he continued.
He highlighted the role of the Provincial Associations of the sport in relaying this knowledge, so the FAF will now organize the same training in each of the provinces or regionally, aimed at absent clubs.
The one-day workshop is attended by one hundred people, from club presidents, sports directors and Girabola licensing technicians, from the 2nd division, representatives of the 18 provincial associations of the sport, class associations and the press.
The aim is to empower users of the CAF online club licensing platform and provide an update on the implementation of the new CAF club registration regulations, 2022 edition.
The CLOP Platform is a system of electronic tools designed to manage the licensing process and stadium inspections for national and continental competitions, which was launched in 2022, in a presentation to member associations, during a CAF Club Licensing seminar, in Cairo (Egypt).
CLOP allows, among others, licensors to implement a fully automated and electronic club registration process for national and continental competitions.
