Africa-Press – Angola. Novagrolíder won the 9th edition of the banana fair that took place in the Panguila market, Bengo province, under the motto Agriculture in Bengo creating the bases for the diversification of the economy.
In the event in which 150 exhibitors participated, the companies TuriAgro (2nd) and Vida Fresh (3rd) were also awarded in the category of large producers.
Speaking to the press, the Novagrolider company manager , Hélder Cardeta, said that the secret of victory was the work and commitment of the entire team that presented the fairgrounds with a stand with its potential.
The municipality of Dembos won the awards for best municipality and small producers, while Ferpinta won the category of machines and work equipment.
The municipal administrator of Dembos, Joaquim Cangulo, praised the work of cooperatives and peasant associations that were able to demonstrate at the event the work that has been done in the municipality.

At the end, the provincial governor of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, said that the fair was a success and exceeded the organisation’s expectations.
He highlighted the fact that Bengo province is one of the main banana producers in the country and exports the product, while he hopes that more products will be exported.
The governor said that the provincial government of Bengo will continue to support producers to improve and increase agricultural production levels in the region.

The 9th edition of the Banana Fair had a turnover of around one hundred million Kwanzas, which exceeded the organization’s expectations, as told by the coordinator of the organizing committee, vice-governor José Bartolomeu Pedro.
With 150 exhibitors, the fair received more than three thousand visitors a day.
The Banana Fair, which started in 2012, is the largest stock exchange in the province of Bengo, which aims to promote and publicize the agricultural potential of the region.
