Africa-Press – Angola. FIFA has rejected the request of the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) for the continuation, next year, of the referee Hélder Martins, who will exceed the age limit (45 years) for the exercise of the activity in 2023.
Despite being 45 years old, Hélder Martins is on the list of Angolan judges sent by the governing body of national football to FIFA, proposing his continuation next season, which the international body did not agree to.
The International Football Federation (FIFA) indicates, in a note made available, the yesterdat main and assistant Angolan referees for the year 2023, with emphasis on the rise of Ailton Carmelino.
Here’s the list:
Main referees: João Goma, António Ndungula, José Chitumba, Paulo Moreira and Tânia Duarte
Assistant Referees:
Jerson Emiliano, Evanildo Lopes, Estanislau Prata, Wilson Ntyamba, Evanildo Martins, Júlio Lemos, Rosário Calembela and Andalia Bernardo
Without giving a reason, the note states that assistant Regina Bernardo’s proposal was not approved.
Futsal:
José Francisco, Nelson André, Edson Santos and Eurídice Cruz.
Beach football:
Meanwhile, Eliano Iacala became the first Angolan referee to join the FIFA staff. Isildo Campos’ proposal was rejected, without also advancing the causes.
