Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Secretary of the FNLA in Uíge, Pedro Moniz, defended, this Saturday, the inclusion of the 15th of March, Day of the expansion of the National Liberation Struggle, in the national education system.
The politician, who was speaking at the celebrations of the National Liberation Struggle Expansion Day, marked on the 15th of March, justified that the measure aims to strengthen unity, peace and national reconciliation.
He recalled that the National Liberation Struggle cost sacrifices, for this and other reasons, he said there was a need to transmit to youth, as well as the preservation of preservation.
He stated that many young people are unaware of the date, hence the need to reinforce the transmission of this historic event, aiming to perpetuate its protagonists.
During his speech, the politician spoke, among other challenges, about unity, national reconciliation and peace among Angolans.
The central act of the Day for the Expansion of the Armed Struggle for National Liberation, chaired by the Secretary of State for National Defence, José Maria de Lima, was held in the city of Uíge, highlighting the bravery and heroism of former combatants and veterans of the country.
