Africa-Press – Angola. The Commander of the Troops of the Southern Military Region (RMS), lieutenant general Eugénio Trovão, appealed Thursday, in Lubango, to the finalists of the sergeants course for the permanent staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) to defend their honor military and guarantee national security.
According to the general officer, the military must always be in combative and operational readiness, unconditionally, whether in times of war, peace, calamity, or other situations where they are called upon, and must use the necessary techniques to maintain the sovereignty of the Homeland.
Speaking during the closing ceremony of the 22nd course for 532 sergeants trained, lasting ten months, at the Escola Inter-Armas de Sergeants, he stressed that the loyalty of the troops represents the highest starting point to which they must strictly observe, respect to the nation’s highest values.
He also defended the need for them to always put into practice the interests of the country above any other, just as the former fighters of the country who fought for national independence and peace did.
This factor, he added, are unavoidable and indispensable principles that will raise the patriotic and moral potential of personnel towards the country.
For the general, the course tempered, calibrated and increased professional techniques in the art of direction and leadership at the most different levels of specialty, because, currently, it is not acceptable for the art of direction and leadership at different levels of specialty to be trained by individuals poorly formed.
Of the 532 finalists for the sergeants course, 187 are women.
