Africa-Press – Angola. The “derby” in the country’s capital between Interclube and 1o de Agosto is the highlight of the 3rd round of the National Football Championship (Girabola2024/25), which will be played on Saturday, 3:30 pm, at the 22 de Junho Stadium, in Luanda.

In the Angolan football classic, despite not containing the performers of the past, such as Mendinho and Ndunguidi, the former already deceased, it will certainly still bring many fans to the field, to encourage the teams to fight for victory.

In the previous round, Interclube beat Académica do Lobito, 2-1, while 1o de Agosto defeated Recreativo do Libolo, 2-0, a condition that obliges both teams to adopt a moral and decisive conduct in competitive terms.

This challenge, between “police” and “military”, still has the power to oppose two former opponents, in this case the coaches Mateus Agostinho “Bodunha” (previously a Petro player) and Filipe Nzanza (1o de Agosto), who will try to fence the their strategic and tactical arguments, now, in their respective banks.

On the same day, champion Petro de Luanda receives the team from São Salvador do Zaire, at 4 pm, at the Estádio 11 de Novembro, with the main purpose of repeating the feat (2-0) of the first round game against Desportivo da Huila.

Runner-up Sagrada Esperança da Lunda-Norte will face Recreativo do Libolo do Cuanza Sul, at 3 pm, at the Mário Pacheco field, in Calulo, while Kabuscorp do Palanca is visited by Desportivo da Huila, at 4 pm, at Coqueiros Stadium, in Luanda.To conclude the day, on Sunday, in addition to the “derby” in the city of Benguela, between the teams of Wiliete and Isaac, 3:30 pm, at the Ombaka Stadium, also in the province of Uige, in which Santa Rita de Cássia faces Carmona SC, at Campo 4 de Janeiro.

The Luanda City team hosts Bravos do Maquis do Moxico, 3:30 pm, at Estádio dos Coqueiros, in the country’s capital.
