Government of Uíge publishes trade reorganization plan

Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Government of Uíge released the Commerce Reorganization Plan, which comes into force from Monday (29), aiming to organize commercial activity, especially on the main streets of the city of Uíge.

A document from the Provincial Government of Uíge, this Tuesday, refers to the interruption of all commercial activity on Mondays, in the markets that will be registered by the respective municipal administrations, for cleaning to be carried out.

The cleaning, according to the note, will involve the participation of sellers, in order to improve the commercial environment, as well as the prevention of diseases.

Among other fundamental guidelines to be developed from the 29th of this month, the document explains that the plan will not extinguish any type of sale, justifying that the main objective is to organize commercial activity, mainly on the city’s main streets, whose image has been affected by the consequences resulting from sales in inappropriate locations.

To implement the plan, a multisectoral commission was created, made up of the provincial offices of Economic Development, Social Action and Gender Equality, municipal administrations, Provincial Command of the National Police, market administrations and traditional authorities.

The initiative will be preceded by an action to raise awareness among vendors in different markets and even street vendors.
