Africa-Press – Angola. A public tender for the selection of a company that will manage the Comandante Bula Cultural Centre, in the city of Mbanza Kongo, will be launched within days by the Provincial Government of Zaire.
Re-inaugurated last May, the development benefited from rehabilitation, expansion and modernization works, financed by the company Angola-LNG.
According to the director of the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Nzuzi Makiese, the Legal Office of the local government is creating the pieces of the aforementioned public tender, which should be announced soon.
He admitted that it would only be possible to find a suitable national or foreign company specialized in the management of cultural centers through a public tender.
Inherited from the colonial era, the infrastructure now includes an auditorium with a capacity of 408 seats, against the previous 240, and an adjacent multipurpose room with 60 seats.
The multi-sports court was also modernized and equipped with 1,500 benches, VIP tribune, changing rooms for athletes of both sexes and sanitary facilities.
In the other adjacent area, a space was created for bar services and storage, among other valences.
This imposing building was reopened on the 17th of May this year by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança Costa.
It is designed for events such as theater, music concerts, dance shows, collective parties, cinema, conferences, seminars, among other activities.
