Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, dismissed, this Thursday, Commissioner Officers of the National Police, General Officers and Admirals and Commissioner Officers of the Criminal Investigation Service.
According to a note from the Press Secretariat, the measure was taken in accordance with the Constitution, supported by the National Police Ranks and Badges Law and the National Defense and Armed Forces Law, after consulting the National Security Council.
In the same process, the Head of State appointed Commissioner Officers of the National Police, Commissioner Officers of the Criminal Investigation Service and General Officers and Admirals, having also decreed the promotion of Commissioner Officers and Senior Officers of the National Police and the retirement of Commissioner Officers of the National Police, among other acts linked to military careers.
Dozens of personnel from the National Police, the Criminal Investigation Service and the Angolan Armed Forces were moved, with their names and corresponding actions transcribed in the Official Gazette.
