Africa-Press – Angola. President João Lourenço received, on Thursday (04) in Luanda, Sheikh Mansour bin Jabor bin Jasim Al Thani of Qatar, with whom he discussed issues related to the bilateral cooperation.
There were no press statements at the end of the meeting, but the sheikh met shortly with the oil company Sonangol’s senior officials, during which a legal instrument was signed.
Angola and Qatar have recently intensified economic and business cooperation.
Angola has sought to attract private direct investment from Qatar, with Qatari companies demonstrating interest in exploring opportunities in the country’s strategic sectors.
Both countries’ governments are committed to implementing already negotiated legal instruments to deepen cooperation.
