Health has created conditions for the admission of more staff

Africa-Press – Angola. The Health sector, in Lunda-Sul, has created the technical and human conditions to, on Wednesday, carry out the admission test to more than 3,000 candidates for the public tender, to fill 270 vacancies.

The head of the Human Resources Department of the Provincial Health Directorate, Alberto Nelson Caínda, said that the candidates benefited from a preparation cycle, given by sector technicians, to mitigate the degree of difficulty during the qualifying exam.

Alberto Nelson Caínda specified that the future middle and senior technicians in the sector will, among other areas, occupy vacancies in the specialties of Internal and General Medicine, Nursing and Diagnosis and Therapeutics, in addition to drivers.

The head of department acknowledged that, due to the high demand for jobs, the number of vacancies available in this public tender is very small, although it may minimize the shortage of technicians in the province.

Alberto Nelson Caínda also highlighted that the candidates selected in the aforementioned competition will be placed at the disposal of the new hospitals and health centres, created within the scope of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM).

At this time, the province needs 400 doctors, but the public tender lists only 11 doctors.

The department head appealed to candidates to confirm their names on the posted lists, to avoid the usual constraints on the exam day, scheduled for the 21st of this month.

Data from the Health sector show that the province has around 100 doctors, including nationals and expatriates, and more than 200 nurses (middle and graduate technicians), waiting to be updated.
