Africa-Press – Angola. “De Saulimbo a Saurimo” is the title of the first book by the jurist and historian Domingos Kajama, which has just arrived on the literary market, as a way of contributing to the enrichment of the socio-cultural and political history of Lunda.
Presented at Cine Chicapa, in the center of Saurimo, during a session of sale and signing of autographs, the book “De Saulimbo a Saurimo” has 167 pages.
The author considered that the content of the book needs to be confronted with other supports linked to the history of Saurimo, having stated that being a main producer of the former district of Lunda, since its 26 years, after the proclamation of national independence, the district already had the designation province of Lunda.
The author pointed out the need for greater encouragement of a taste for reading, “because whoever reads a book is never alone. I defend interaction with the elderly, who are ‘living libraries’ to enrich the region’s culture”.
