Africa-Press – Angola. More than 50 vehicles allegedly illegally removed from the State sphere, in the province of Moxico, were recovered by the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE), the provincial delegate, José Maria Amândio, reported this Wednesday.
According to the official who spoke to the press as part of a conference that marked the celebrations of IGAE’s 32nd anniversary, the recovery of the aforementioned means, in the possession of former public managers, is the result of inspection work, which began in 2021, when this body was institutionalized in the province of Moxico.
He added that there are still many State resources in the possession of private people, including properties, which could be recovered.
IGAE in this region, he said, continues to receive several complaints linked to public service, inappropriate use of public assets and unfinished public project works, which will be investigated.
The person responsible, without elaborating, said that during this period several illegality cases have already been sent to the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), promising that the institution will continue to be ruthless, especially with companies that fail to comply with public projects.
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the vice-governor for the technical sector and infrastructures, Wilson Augusto, considered IGAE as an essential institution for guaranteeing the legality, transparency and efficiency of Public Administration, in his inspection mass.
He said that the impact and dynamics of IGAI in this region are notable, through inspection, training, awareness-raising and cooperation with other Local Government bodies, encouraging it to continue to play its role with rigor and professionalism. , to defend the values of legality and probity.
IGAE was created on January 17, 1992, with the aim of carrying out internal administrative control of the Public Administration, through inspection, inspection, audit, supervision, control, inquiry and investigations of bodies and services of the direct and indirect administration of the State and autonomous administrations.
This body also has the mission of preventing and detecting fraud, acts of corruption and impropriety, irregularities, misconduct on the part of public officials or administrative agents that comprise them, as well as defending public assets and strengthening integrity and transparency in management of public assets.
