Angola intends to relaunch the initiatives already agreed to increase circulation on both sides of the borders and others, through the conclusion of projects in the fields of Road, River, Rail Transport and the resumption of the air connection between both countries, with the flag company TAAG .

To this end, an invitation letter from the Angolan Minister of Transport, Ricardo de Abreu, addressed to his Zambian counterpart, Charles Milupi, was delivered yesterday, in Lusaka. Azevedo Xavier Francisco, Angola’s ambassador to Zambia, was the bearer of the letter, delivered during an audience at the Zambian Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Works.

The Angolan ambassador to Zambia, during the audience, mentioned the speech of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, on the 25th of this month, speaking of the importance and desire to see the situation of the road link between Angola and Zambia a In fact, the Zambian side promised to respond to the invitation, in the coming days, with an indication of a date, for the trip to the country.

“I welcome the invitation of Minister Ricardo de Abreu”, said the Zambian official, at the end of the audience, announcing that the trip to Angola “will be an excellent opportunity to review and accelerate the implementation of the various dossiers related to the link between Angola and Zambia”.
