Africa-Press – Angola. The INSÓLITOS TV company announced on Saturday that it will produce three feature films that will be recorded in Cuvango Municipality, southern Huila Province, an initiative intended to promote local culture and tourism.
The three films are “Lenda do Matchituca”, “O Homem Touro” and “A Rainha Insólito”, which will begin to be filmed this year.
Speaking in Cuvango, the CEO of INSÓLITOS TV company, Person Pitra, said that the project has been designed to preserve and value the histrory of Cuvango, portraying its royalty, chieftains, rituals and traditions.
He disclosed that the productions have participations of local actors, thus clearing the way for up-and-coming talents to be known.
“Our goal is to strengthen the local and national cultural identity, demonstrating the historical and traditional wealth of Huila to the world”, he stressed.
The initiative is also aimed at promoting cultural tourism by filming and exhibiting tourism sites and historico-cultural spots of Cuvango.
Person Pitra informed that the casting process for the actors and extras is happening until March.
