Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Insurance Regulation and Supervision Agency (ARSEG), the General Labor Inspectorate (IGT) and the National Public Procurement Service (SNCP) signed, on Thursday, in Luanda, a circular on mandatory insurance for work accidents and occupational diseases.
On the occasion, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of the Angolan Insurance Regulation and Supervision Agency (ARSEG), Filomena Manjata, reported that the agreement signed aims to strengthen the supervision of insurance against occupational accidents and diseases. The official also said that, according to the statistics that ARSEG has, of all the companies that have this level registered, only 5 percent have this insurance. In turn, the Inspector General of Labor, Manuel Alberto Bole, said that the signing of this joint circular will allow for a series of direct information sharing and, therefore, it will be increasingly possible to convey to companies the need to comply with these legal procedures.
